Do What You Love
Working exclusively for Marlene and team fuels my passion for interior design, home décor and organization. I love helping others and happy to bring a fresh, professional perspective to the property by rearranging, organizing, adding and or editing furniture and home décor. Creating a style that buyers want to aspire. My goal is to highlight your homes most impressive assets, making it easier for buyers to visualize the property as their own. No two houses are identical, my recommendations and style are unique to each property. I love the challenge in planning and the execution is so rewarding. I look forward to sharing some of my favourite things, new inspiration and staging tips with you…

CURB APPEAL
Cleaning, organizing and arranging the inside of your house becomes the priority when listing your home but you have to sell them on the outside first! The outside of your home is the very first chance you have to make an impression. Potential buyers form an opinion within seconds of seeing your home. You want to create a welcoming first impression starting at the curb.

Your home’s front entry is the focal point of its curb appeal. A freshly painted front door can make all the difference. Make a statement by giving your front door a coat of colour. I personally love a black door. Black is one of the best front door colours if you want your home to look refined. Choose a colour that is going to complement your existing colour scheme and pairs well with your brick walls, siding or hardwood patio.
Pressure wash the front stoop of any dirt or moss build up. A good power wash of the exterior of your home and windows will instantly brighten its appearance and bring a fresh, clean look to the house. Add a touch of hominess with a clean new doormat and a seasonal potted plant or two. Seasonal greens and florals immediately softens the look of a front porch. Symmetrical compositions of light fixtures and front-door accents such as urns, lanters and planters create welcoming entryways and boost curb appeal.
Replace old house numbers and update exterior light fixtures and door hardware to match the style of your home and reflect current trends. If your porch or stoop has room for furniture, add a couple chairs or a bistro table set to expand your outdoor living space. Keep the space simple but welcoming – it only suggests good things to come inside!

Ensure the outside of your home is well lit for any interested buyers who may drive by at night. Sufficient and stylish lighting can not only ensure you and your visitors safety when heading to the front door, but it can also highlight some of your home’s best features.
Clean up the edging around flowerbeds and fill in empty beds with small shrubs, seasonal flowers and greenery. Weed, prune and add fresh mulch or wood chips to garden beds. Your driveway is a welcome mat for visitors so be sure to refresh and renew if needed. Walk the perimeter of your home and remove old play equipment or unused fixtures. Pack up any flags, garden gnomes and toys. Replace dislodged patio stones and make repairs to deck or fence if needed. Trim bushes and hedges, pull weeds and mow lawn. Get inspired to make a first great impression! Make your space look especially pleasing from the street.
