The Samuel Wilmot Nature Area | Know Your Neighbourhood Episode 5

If you're interested in an incredible spot with a great view of Lake Ontario, the Samuel Wilmot Nature Area is a great place to visit. Not only is it located in a gorgeous neighbourhood in Newcastle, but it features a serene trail to walk along with a view of the water. Walking towards the water, you'll see a trail on your right side. This takes you down to the beach area where there's a gorgeous marsh across from the lake. This spot was quiet, and very relaxing. It was a great spot to sit and watch the water. There's a paved path with a beautiful panoramic view of the water, making it a perfect location for walking, jogging, and biking. The waterfront path leads you to a blue pergola, with a few benches and a public telescope for viewing the lake. It's a great place to have a picnic as well, with multiple benches and picnic tables along the path. If you get a chance to check out this gorgeous neighbourhood and nature area, I would highly recommend it.
