Hi everyone, it's Marlene Boyle from REMAX Jazz with the next episode of Know Your Neighbourhood!

Today we’re travelling a little bit outside of Durham Region to the Harold Town Conservation Area in Peterborough. This area has amazing views of the landscape and a few picnic benches that would be great for a summer picnic after a walk.

The Harold Town Conservation Area is named after the Canadian painter who owned this property from the mid 70’s until the early 90’s. After he passed, the property was donated to Otonabee Conservation by Harold Town’s estate. The property, now featuring 10km of trails, was then named in his memory. Aside from hiking, this area is also popular for off-road cycling. If you’re a more experienced biker, there are even some more challenging and exciting trails to take here.

Be sure to check out the scenic views if you’re in the Peterborough area! Thanks for watching and have a great day.
